Wedding season has begun! On the day of your life, it is not only about the perfect dress, but also about having a glowy skin. Our favourite wedding planner Lucette @houseofluce, shares her own skincare tips and those for her brides!

"Hi there! Years ago I started working as a PR Manager in the beauty industry, where I saw many brands pass by and got the chance to try out a lot of products. I loved it and the love for fine beauty products has never gone away. Meanwhile, 5 years ago I started my own business House of Luce and I am helping engaged couples to realise their dream wedding. We take care of the complete planning and design from A-Z.

My morning and evening routine is sacred and has been since I was 12 years old. Cleanser, toner, serum, day cream with spf, and facial oil are products I use twice a day and I try to take a moment for myself twice a week with a lovely mask in the evening.

During my work, I spend a lot of time with the bride and groom leading up to their wedding day, and of course the beauty topic is discussed there as well. Many brides like to pay a little extra attention to their skin before they plunge themselves in their big day. I always advise not to experiment with strong peelings or do a last minute spray tan without having tried it before. Structural use of a mask, face massage and, above all, plenty of moisture and sleep will do any skin good and make you shine even more on your wedding day.

I choose my beauty products with a lot of care and attention, I like to try something new every now and then but I am also very loyal to the products and brands I use. The products I use in my morning and evening routine are the ones I can no longer live without!

I start the day with the MILU Melting Cleansing Balm that I use in the shower combined with the MILU toning solution and the Hydrating Essence by Natura Bissé. After that a serum from The Organic Pharmacy and I finish with a day cream with SPF from Perricone MD, occasionally combined with the natural Bronzer from Perricone MD. In the evening I start again with the MILU Metling Cleansing Balm (love the smell!) and MILU toning solution, the Hydrating Essence by Natura Bissé, serum with retinol by The Organic Pharmacy and I finish with the face oil by Patyka.

I check what my skin needs when I pick a mask but my absolute favourites are the MILU Hydrogel Eye Patches and the MILU Say hi to hydration sheet mask.

When I'm at work, I pay extra attention to the weather conditions, I often work in sunny locations so I make sure to apply my SPF several times a day. This is also a tip that I give to brides, don't forget to apply SPF on the face, décolleté and possibly the shoulders/arms if they have a sleeveless dress. Try the sunscreen first to make sure it doesn't leave a white haze or stains.

I don't have a specific beauty secret but I think that in my busy life with my own business, lots of long (wedding!) days at weekends, travelling and my daily life with two kids, continuity is especially important. I can't remember ever leaving my make-up on.

Since having kids, I can't help becoming more of a morning person and I love starting the day and getting ready, preferably before the morning rush with the kids. I also enjoy the evenings, and I've made a habit of removing my make-up and cleansing my face after putting the kids to bed so that I don't have to do it late at night when I'm tired and my night products have more time to work".
